Google Algorithm Updates integration

Record Google ranking and core updates as SEO notes, so traffic shifts can be checked against Google's own changes.

When organic traffic moves, the first question is always "was that us, or was that Google?" This integration puts Google's confirmed algorithm changes on your timeline as SEO notes, so you can answer it.

What lands on your timeline

  • Ranking and core updates from Google's Search Status Dashboard, with start and complete events for rollouts that span several days.
  • Search Central announcements from Google's official blog feed.

How it works

This is a polling integration that reads Google's public sources — there are no credentials to provide. On first connect it backfills the last 12 months, so your timeline immediately shows recent updates you can line your traffic up against.

Setting it up

  1. Add the integration

In Integrations, choose Google Algorithm Updates. There's nothing to authorize.

  2. Review the backfill

A year of past updates appears straight away. From then on, new updates land as Google publishes them.

Pair this with your own Content and Deployment notes: when rankings move, you'll see whether a Google update, a site change, or both lined up with the shift.
