The logbook

The dense, filterable table view of your notes — built for searching and scanning rather than reading.

The logbook is the same data as the timeline, shown as a dense table. Where the timeline is for reading a period, the logbook is for finding something specific across all of your history.

When to use it

Reach for the logbook when you want to:

  • Search every note by keyword.
  • Scan many events at once without the visual spacing of the timeline.
  • Filter down to a category, source, or tag and read the matches as a tight list.

Columns

Each row shows the note's date, category, title, and source at a glance. Click a row to open the same detail drawer you get on the timeline.

The timeline and the logbook share their filters. Narrow things down in one view and the other respects the same scope.
