Buffer integration

Log every social post Buffer publishes as a Campaign note, so an engagement or traffic shift lines up with what you posted.

This integration logs the posts Buffer publishes to your social channels as Campaign notes — so when engagement or traffic moves, the post that drove it is right there on the timeline.

What you can track

  • Published posts across every channel connected to Buffer (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, …)

Each note shows the channel and a short preview of the post. Drafts and still-scheduled posts stay off the timeline until they actually publish.

How it works

Buffer doesn't send webhooks, so CoNote checks Buffer's API every 30 minutes and logs anything newly published. It authenticates with a Buffer API key you create — there's nothing to host and no developer account to register.

The first check is a silent baseline, so only posts published from then on appear. Existing history isn't replayed onto your timeline.

Setting it up

  1. Create a Buffer API key

In Buffer, open Settings → API (publish.buffer.com/settings/api) and create an API key.

  2. Add the integration

In IntegrationsBrowse, choose Buffer. Paste the API key and connect.

  3. Watch the first post land

Publish a post in Buffer. Within about half an hour it appears on your timeline as a Campaign note.

Keep your API key private. If it's ever exposed, revoke it in Buffer's Settings → API and paste a new one into the integration's settings.
