Comments & discussion
Capture the why behind an event and discuss it with your team, with in-app and email notifications when someone replies.
Every note on the timeline can hold a discussion. When an automatic event lands — a Google Ads change, a deploy, a config edit — the why behind it usually lives in someone's head. Comments put it on the record, right next to the event.
Adding a comment
Open any note from the timeline and scroll to Discussion. Write what changed and why, then press Comment (or ⌘+Enter). Your comment appears instantly. A small count on the timeline row shows how many comments a note carries.
You can delete your own comments. Owners and admins can remove anyone's (deleting a comment also removes its replies).
Replies, reactions, and mentions
- Reply under any comment to keep a back-and-forth together — threads can nest as deep as the conversation needs.
- React with an emoji (👍 ❤️ 🎉 👀 🙌) to acknowledge a comment without adding noise. Click a reaction again to remove yours.
- @mention a teammate by typing
@and picking them from the list. They’re notified even if they weren’t following the note yet — the way to pull someone into a discussion.
Notifications
When you comment on a note, everyone following it is notified — the person who logged it, plus anyone who already commented. You're never notified about your own comment.
You follow a note automatically once you comment on it (or when you logged it yourself).
Choose how you hear about new comments under Settings → Notifications → Comments: in-app and email, in-app only, email only, or off. In-app notifications appear under the bell in the top-left.
Each comment email has a one-click link to turn off comment emails — that keeps your in-app notifications on, it only stops the email.
